This site is about saving the trees, but it asks that the entire project be reevaluated in light of the hidden tree removal and lack of affordable housing. The Prado Group is using the high density argument and the housing crisis to chop down 190 mature trees as part of – get this – a green luxury housing development. I learned about it after the hearing because the tree removal is only causally mentioned in the large proposal s is the fact that the affordable housing may or may not actually get built. This is developers’ latest tactic, hiding environmental damage and lack of affordable housing inside a grand proposal.

The property developer Prado Group wants to chop down a total of 190 trees on the property because the trees don’t fit their preferred aesthetic. And despite trees being one of our greatest allies in the fight against climate change, the City has no plans to stop this deforestation.
